✓1.8mm cylindrical tower through-hole package - Compact DIP body measures just 1.8mm in diameter, fitting panel cutouts and PCB footprints too tight for standard 3mm or 5mm LEDs. Two radial leads on standard pitch solder into perfboard, breadboard, or custom PCBs; clear epoxy lens concentrates output along the axis.
✓Polarity and resistor reference - Through-hole LEDs are polarity-sensitive: longer lead is anode (+), shorter lead is cathode (−). For 20mA drive current with a 1.8-2.2V LED, use a series resistor of 150Ω 1/4W on 5V, 360Ω 1/4W on 9V, 510Ω 1/4W on 12V, or 680Ω 1/2W on 15V.
