It creates a network link between separate locations without installing a long underground Ethernet cable, making it practical for extending WiFi to outbuildings and remote network equipment.
✓WHAT IS THE MAXIMUM TRANSMISSION RANGE? With a clear and unobstructed line of sight, the built-in 12dBi directional antennas support a point-to-point link of up to 1KM. This long range outdoor WiFi bridge must be aimed correctly at the opposite unit. Trees, walls, terrain, mounting height and wireless interference may reduce range and signal quality.
✓HOW FAST IS THE WIRELESS CONNECTION? The 2.4GHz radio supports a wireless link rate of up to 300Mbps for video, voice and data transmission. Each unit has a 100Mbps WAN/LAN Ethernet port, so wired throughput is limited to 100Mbps. Actual performance depends on distance, interference, network equipment and environmental conditions.
✓DOES IT WORK WITH OUTDOOR SECURITY CAMERAS? Yes. This wireless Ethernet bridge can carry network data between remote IP cameras, access points, recorders and other Ethernet devices. The included passive PoE adapters power the bridge units; they may not power connected cameras, so check each camera’s voltage and PoE requirements separately.
✓CAN IT BE USED IN RAINY WEATHER? The IP65 sealed enclosure is designed to resist rain, dust, sunlight and freezing outdoor conditions, while lightning and ESD protection improve installation reliability. The outdoor wireless bridge should not be submerged, and exposed cable connections should be protected from direct water entry.
✓IS THE POINT TO POINT BRIDGE EASY TO SET UP? The pre-paired units can establish a link without completing complex browser configuration. The LED display shows host or client mode, channel and signal strength for easier alignment. PTP, PTMP, AP, bridge and repeater modes, four SSIDs and DHCP support provide flexible network deployment.
