It has a larger surface area and has a longer filter life. This water filter cartridge removes more pollutants by providing "depth" filtering.
✓✅HOUSING PLUS A YEAR OF CARTRIDGES – The housing is NSF and FDA grade polypropylene with 1/2 inch female NPT ports, rated to 125 psi and 125 degrees, using the buttress thread design the original uses. Four 10 by 2.5 inch carbon cartridges come with it, which at a change every 3 to 6 months is roughly two seasons of use. Standard cartridge size, so any 10 inch slim cartridge fits when these run out.
